Fri, 15 December 2006 ![]() Well, my bedroom in this little apartment is now set up as an audio/video editing and recording studio, complete with a 32" TV as a secondary computer monitor, DVR capability, mixer board, digital cameras and camcorders, DVD burners, and a few other odds and ends. If I had any money left I would upgrade from this karaoke machine microphone I'm using. Unfortunately the transition left me pretty much offline with the computer for a couple of weeks. But I've been saving Christmas time songs all year, and they're just aching to be shared. Playlist: Hope you are all having a Happy Holiday time, whichever holiday you celebrate! Mon, 28 August 2006 ![]() Episode 19 - Still fruity after all these months... August has been an eventful month for me - a sprained ankle, a nasty respiratory that is into its second week, and a few other things. But at least I don't live in Florida! Playlist: Later... Comments[8] |
Thu, 3 August 2006 ![]() It's summertime, and I hope you all are enjoying yourselves. Remember, if you like what you hear here, follow the links to the artist's pages and to their websites where you can buy their music. Especially Derek Sonderfan's music - cause he's a really nice guy, and he asked me to promote his new album. So if you are an artist with a new album (or even an old album you want people to know about) and at least one song that would fit in on this show (or an artist I've already played), email me at antelipo@gmail.com and I'll tell all seven of my fans about you too! Sat, 15 July 2006 ![]() Greetings all! Sorry about the big gap between shows again. I had saved up for a week to go home at the end of the month for a family reunion, but since it looked like I would probably be starting new work before then I took 9 days over Independence Day instead, which wiped out two weekends. But here it is! A little bit of whining about the girlfriend situation, two extremes of patriotism, and the usual silliness with some spirituality for dessert. Playlist: Can't Find a Girlfriend by the Legendary 10 Seconds Oh, since Odeo is publishing my podcast, and I want to have control of it, I need to put in this link to prove that I am the owner: My Odeo Channel (odeo/2e00e59e5de28869) Hopefully this does it, I don't mind the extra exposure, but am uneasy about these sites that repost my content in areas that I do not have full control. Tue, 27 June 2006 ![]() This episode celebrates the release of Derek Sonderfan's new CD, Love Is Kinda Funny Sometimes. Derek's music has shown up quite a bit on Antecubital Liposuction, and this album is a lot of fun to listen to. You should go buy it. Now. Please. Right now. You can find it at www.esoderek.com. It is a good deal. Really. He's a really nice guy who worked really hard on this, and really deserves the money. So go buy a copy, please. And a couple more to give to your friends. And maybe some for relatives. Possibly a few more to give to total strangers. They will thank you for it. Playlist: Mean and Gay by Derek Sonderfan, played by permission Remember, unless otherwise listed, all music can be found at the Podsafe Music Network at music.podshow.com. Some songs, such as Matthew Ebel's Single Man's Lament, can now be purchased at the PMN. Otherwise to buy music, such as Derek Sonderfan's Love is Kinda Funny Sometimes, you can follow the links to the artist's website. Derek's is www.esoderek.com. Later... Comments[0] |
Sun, 18 June 2006 ![]() No, I am not dead...just feeling kinda used and foolish right now. I had been working a job that was probably the most intense intellectually that I have ever worked. I put so much into this job that I was too burned out outside of it to do my schoolwork or even do a podcast. I had been working to prove myself, with loose talk being made that led me to believe that I was being considered for a management position. And what reward did I get for 3 months of hard work, disappointing my fans, and dropping out of school with only one 10 week quarter to go? A call from the boss the day after my birthday: "Your position has been eliminated...one of the staff will give you a ride home if you need it." Well back to square one. But hey, there's good in every bad thing, and the good thing for you fans of the show is that you get to hear more of the fun and obscure music off of the Podsafe Music Network and other places all wrapped up in a convenient package I call Antecubital Liposuction. I (understandably I hope) had a few grumpy moments during this show, rambling on about the whole job loss situation, and my song selections have a few more F-bombs than usual, so you are warned. But I have some lighthearted selections as well, and I picked the closer just because it has incredible harmonization. The group is called Bagheera and is a two piece husband and wife 'haunted' indie rock group that had not ever been played on a podcast before. I think they just fell through the cracks because they're listed under Asian Man Records on the PMN. I think they sound much better than anything else that Asian Man has posted on the network. Thu, 4 May 2006 ![]() Don't worry folks, I haven't forgot about you... Episode 14 starts out with a dedication, goes to some silliness, then an apology, and it all goes downhill from there. Work and school are kicking my butt worse than ever, and I really needed to do this show to give me a break from it all. Da Playlist:

Sat, 15 April 2006 It's episode 13, and it's a full steam version of the Liposuction. Life is still a killer for me, I'm down to one full time job instead of two part time jobs, but still going to school, and time is at a premium. Despite all of this I put together the best documented AL yet. I'm going to try to keep this show weekly, but it might have to slip to every other week until I get done with school in July.

Thu, 6 April 2006 Welcome to this not-quite-an-edition of Antecubital Liposuction. All this cast is this time is just to let the listeners know that I haven't abandonded the show, and that I'm going back to the basic silliness instead of trying to do 'themes' to the show. Only two songs in this one, I'm going to try to get a real show out in the next few days. Playlist: Later... Comments[0] |

Fri, 17 March 2006 Happy St Patrick's Day! A bit o' the Irish, and a bit o' the celebrating on this episode. Special guests from outside the Podsafe Music Network included Three Dead Trolls in a Baggie found at www.deadtroll.com and iTunes, and Derek Sonderfan, whose site is www.esoderek.com. Yes, I know Derek can be found on the PMN, but this song isn't there. He sent this one to me, and I thank him for his kind gift. He's got a new album coming out pretty soon, I'll let you know when it is released.

Seriously, this going back to school in your late 30s really bites, but hopefully it will get me a real job someday.Of course, like always, this shows tracks can be found at the Podsafe Music Network at music.podshow.com, except for the two selections by Three Dead Trolls in a Baggie. Hope you all had a good Valentine's Day, whether it was spending it romantically as a couple, or just irritating the heck out of some mushy romantic couple who really needed to break up anyway. This week's show didn't really have a theme, just a variety of Podsafe and non-PMN tunes. Special thanks to Three Dead Trolls in a Baggie and Dana Lyons for providing permission to play their tracks.

Mon, 30 January 2006 The Superbowl, Politics, Jesus, Spam, and an iDog. They sang Folk, Punk, Rock, and Country. Strange bedfellows, but that just goes to show you the weirdness that you can find in a podcast that's named for a fictional medical procedure. This show included the first 3 songs in this podcast that did not come from the PMN. All three songs came from Blue Canyon Productions, and they featured the talents of Jim Terr, Buddy Converse, and Margaret Burke, and were played by permission. Podsafe artists included the Mydols, Chub Creek Music, Onion Flavored Rings, Roadside Zoo, Jesta, Derek Sonderfan, BELT, and Little Thom. You'll probably hear more from all of them on future episodes. A fair warning to you now, the next Liposuction will need an explicit tag. In collecting the unique songs that I play on my show, I come across some with "dirty words," and some with "dirty thoughts," and I think there's even one with a "dirty sheep." Well, in 5 short episodes I've collected enough to make a show, might even be a special edition, I haven't decided yet. If it comes out early, then I guess it will be, and if that happens you can expect another episode again early next week. Later... Comments[1] |
Tue, 24 January 2006 Sorry about the late posting of the Liposuction, hopefully the longer show will make up for any extra cravings you might have had. This show included the first audio comment, left by Jim Tyrell, who also has a couple of new songs on the PMN. The musical selections ranged from intoxicants to food to public toilets, which is probably a logical progression. This show's artists include The New Autonomous Folksingers, Stoat, Amy Jo Doty, Derek Sonderfan, BRAIN BUCKIT, Jim Tyrrell, Jim Terr, Tí Trá Lí Media, Green Beings, and Onion Flavored Rings. A plague has swept our home over the weekend, and it has hit the Rhythm Angel harder than it hit me. It looks like she's only going to get one Rhythm Angel's Rockin' Blast Cast podcast done this week. Which is really a bummer, she is a much better podcaster than I am, she already has had two mentions on Adam Curry's Daily Source Code, and her podcast is not even a month old. Comments[0] |
Mon, 16 January 2006 This edition of audio insanity includes apologies, promos, and an army of penguin canadians battling standing at the ready to battle evil telemarketer's giant robots. Tue, 10 January 2006 Here it is, the second edition of the Antecubital Liposuction Podcast! The 'cast has taken a bit of a turn, at the suggestion of the RhythmAngel. There are still going to be songs that rock, but now I'll feature music that is, at the least, a bit quirky. Might even remind you a bit of a certain old Doctor that used to spread insanity on the old airwaves.
This episode's artists are Beau Hall, George Hrab, the Sounddoc, Smallfish, Little Thom, Jim Tyrell, and the Cookie Cutter Girl. Check them all out at the PMN, and be sure to visit their web sites and spend some pocket change on any of their music that you like. Soon the PMN will be providing us with direct download links and you'll be able to get anything you hear right here.
Have a good one, and tell your friends about the Liposuction! Comments[2] |
Fri, 30 December 2005 Here it is! The first ever episode of Antecubital Liposuction. It's full of music and silliness from the Podsafe Music Network. Our lineup includes music by Bridgefield, Kevin Reeves, Soul Seeker, Unirunner, and The Quintessentials. Humorous bits came from George Hrab and the Peeper Radio Theatre. This episode seemed to work out pretty well, on the second try anyway. I learned a lot about how my equipment works.
